Even though French has been part of my life for almost 6 years already I can’t believe that I never came across the french word for ‘memory’. Souvenir.

P.S Today was 5th day in a row with more than 4 hours of study! YAY

“Souvenir” is surely a beautiful word. À propos, the beautiful, if complicated, thing about French is that simple words tend to have many and varied meanings. Take “toujours” and look it up in a good French-English dictionary. Always, still, anyways, as much as… Truly fascinating! Last I checked, Russian and English are somewhat different from French in terms of word meaning depth complexity. If “toujours” is not good enough for you, take “même” and fell in love with French! I certainly did. I can write an entire series of articles on how to go about mastering French, which I’ll probably do sometime down the pike.
5th day in a row! You’re on a roll, no two ways about it! Nose to the grindstone and eyes on the prize, that’s a way to go!
I enjoy reading your studies related updates, please don’t stop penning them 🙂

I can totally agree on the “même” part! So many meanings provided by collins dictionary that it confuses me sometimes. But that’s what indeed makes French so fascinating and interesting to learn 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙂 Considering that writing has never been my strongest point I am very grateful for your praise. I will work harder to expand my blog-keeping skills. 🙂
