錦糸卵

I got an email a few days ago that our Japanese teacher has added new kanji for next test. The previous kanji were mostly known to me and the tests were quite easy. But this time I don’t really know them. Although it’s no problem now since there is more than a week to study.

Today I was doing kanji exercises from a children’s book and came across” 錦糸卵”( きんしたまご). At first, I translated ”錦糸” which means ”gold thread”, it made me confused for a bit since ”たまご” means ”egg”. So…. gold thread egg?? After searching it up on google I found the meaning.
